Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
ShareSomeone (sharesomeone.com) is part of the SOMEONE family. It lets you write a post once and share it to the social networks and destinations you connect. This policy explains what ShareSomeone collects, why, how long it keeps it, and the choices you have. It works alongside the SOMEONE privacy policy at followsomeone.com/privacy, which covers your SOMEONE account.
Who can use ShareSomeone
ShareSomeone is for people age 18 or older, the same as every SOMEONE service.
What we collect
- Your SOMEONE account. You sign in with your SOMEONE account. ShareSomeone receives an account identifier from SOMEONE's sign-in service and keeps a display name if you set one. It does not receive your password.
- Networks you connect. When you connect a network (for example X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok or YouTube), you approve ShareSomeone on that network's own screen. We store the access granted by that network and basic public profile information it returns, such as your account ID, username or handle, display name and, for Pages and channels, their name and ID. We use this only to show you which account is connected and to publish what you ask us to publish there. Some networks connect differently: for Bluesky you create an app password for ShareSomeone (never your main password); for Mastodon you approve ShareSomeone on your own server; for Discord you paste a channel webhook address; for Telegram you give your own bot's token and the channel or group to post to. We store these the same protected way.
- What you create. The text, links, photos, videos and per-network choices (for example privacy settings, titles or disclosures) that you put into a post, and when you want it shared.
- Delivery results. For each post and destination: whether it was published, failed or is waiting, the time, and the link or ID the network returns.
- Plan and usage. Whether you have SOMEONE Pro and how many posts you have shared this month. SOMEONE Pro is billed through FollowSomeone and Stripe; ShareSomeone never sees or stores your card details.
- Technical information. Sign-in session cookies, and standard request logs (IP address, browser, time) kept briefly for security and to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To show your connected accounts and publish or schedule your posts to the destinations you choose, only when you ask.
- To show your post history and delivery status.
- To apply your plan, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your information, we do not use your connected accounts to post anything you didn't ask for, and we do not use data from connected networks for advertising.
Photos and videos
Your photos and videos are kept privately only long enough to deliver your post and handle retries. Then the originals are deleted from ShareSomeone. In practice: about 30 minutes after every destination has finished; scheduled posts keep their files until they go out; failed deliveries can be retried for up to 24 hours; files you upload but never post are deleted after 24 hours. To deliver a post, a network may fetch the file from a private, time-limited ShareSomeone link.
Videos from DailyCut. DailyCut is the SOMEONE family's video editor. When you press Share everywhere on a finished DailyCut export, and then sign in to ShareSomeone with the same SOMEONE account, ShareSomeone copies that one video directly from DailyCut into its private temporary storage, so you don't have to download it and upload it again. DailyCut tells ShareSomeone only what it needs to handle that video: the file, its size, dimensions and length. The copy is treated exactly like a video you upload here, with the same deletion times. Nothing is posted until you choose where it goes and press the share button. DailyCut keeps its own copy under its own retention rules. The link DailyCut creates for this works only for your account, only once, and expires after 30 minutes if unused.
How we protect connected accounts
The access each network grants is encrypted before it is stored and is used only by ShareSomeone's servers to publish for you. It is never shown in your browser.
Sharing with networks and service providers
- The networks you choose. When you share, we send your post and its files to the networks you selected, under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Service providers. ShareSomeone runs on Cloudflare (hosting, storage and databases). SOMEONE Pro payments are processed by Stripe through FollowSomeone.
- Legal reasons. If the law requires it, or to protect people and the service.
Network-specific information
- YouTube. ShareSomeone uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. ShareSomeone's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove ShareSomeone's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- TikTok. We use TikTok's tools to show your TikTok account and to post the content you choose, with the privacy and interaction settings you pick. You can remove access in TikTok under Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Apps and services permissions.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads). We use the access you grant to list the Pages and Instagram professional accounts you manage and to publish to the ones you choose. You can remove access in your Facebook or Threads settings (Business integrations / Apps and websites).
- X and LinkedIn. We use the access you grant to read your basic profile, and for LinkedIn the Pages you manage, and publish the posts you choose. You can remove access in each network's connected apps settings.
- Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord and Telegram. We use the app password, server approval, webhook or bot you provide only to publish the posts you choose. You can revoke them on the network at any time: delete the Bluesky app password, remove ShareSomeone from your Mastodon server's authorized apps, delete the Discord webhook, or remove or revoke the Telegram bot.
- Someone. Posts you share to your Someone profile go through Someone's own posting, with the same rules as posting there directly, under the SOMEONE terms and privacy policy.
How long we keep information
- Photos and videos: as described above.
- Connected accounts: until you disconnect them, the network ends the access, or you delete your account.
- Post history (text, links, destinations, times and results, not the original files): while your account is open.
- Security logs: for a short period.
Your choices
- Disconnect any network at any time from Accounts. You can also remove ShareSomeone's access on the network itself.
- Delete your ShareSomeone data from Settings. This removes your connected accounts, posts, files, drafts and sessions.
- Ask us for a copy of your information or to correct or delete it at privacy@sharesomeone.com.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above, and tell signed-in users in ShareSomeone.
